Although I'm fairly young, I feel like I've been around the block a time or
two. 5 years in Iowa City, Iowa (late nights hitting the books and a little fun
on the weekends)
earned me a college degree in Industrial Engineering, but a
real world industrial engineer 9 to 5 job (especially after the economy crashed
after 09/11/2001), made me second guess what I wanted to do. So I started a
pyramid scheme business (j/k ... it was actually MLM / network marketing) with a
telecom company that was launching in new markets all over Europe. I traveled to
the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, and France 7x from 2003-2006. It
took me 4 years to figure out that not everyone is, or even can be, an
entrepreneur. And finally in 2006 I found my passion in the internet,
particularly in the areas of small business and sports web design, internet marketing, domain name
consulting, and personal branding through my two web companies
Evans Web Services and
Athlete Web Design.
